Below you’ll find answers to the questions we get askedabout booking a DJ for your wedding.
All of the wedding DJ’s you interview may not have the samestandards of professionalism. A written, legal contract is one of the firstindicators of whether a DJ is professional and reliable. Furthermore, acontract establishes the DJ’s obligation to the client and outlines what isrequired for the DJ’s success, by outlining his setup requirements and otherfactors related to his performance. For these reasons our team will always askfor a signed contract prior to accepting any wedding, corporate event, or partyin general. In our opinion if a DJ is not using a written contract they shouldnever be considered for your protection. (Professional Tip: Always have anagreed upon and signed contract in place before exchanging any monies).
Absolutely. Prior to fully booking your date you will havethe option of meeting (in our current environment Phone Or Video Chat) withJared (Owner) or the DJ, Photographer or Videographer of your choice. No matterwhat the case may be we always require a final planning meeting with all of ourcouples or event organizers and the DJ, or team member who will be a part ofyour event.
Our team caters to a wide range of events such as:
Generally we are very easy to work with. We will generally hold your date for 7 days (1 week) after having a initial get to know/booking meeting.
Yes, when it comes to extras we try and offer something for everyone. Our team realizes that no one event/wedding is the same and why should you settle for the same thing someone else had. Be unique, creative and don’t be afraid to bridge that gap between average and your wildest dreams.
Extras We Offer:
Yes, we always are insured. We recommend never contractingwith a company that is not insured. Make sure to protect yourself always.
Currently we have 4 Dj’s, 2 Photographers/Videographers, 1Photobooth Manager and 2 Office managers.
To us this is one of the most important questions you could ask a vendor. The great news for you is that we have structured our team to always have someone available in the event the unthinkable happens. We view your wedding/event as the Super Bowl, there is nothing else more important than that moment in time.
Any professional wedding disc jockey should be comfortable with making announcements and serving as the emcee for the wedding, it is a standard part of the job. Some DJs, however, are not comfortable with this and prefer to pass these duties on to someone else, such as a site manager, who may not have a professional voice or experience speaking on a microphone. Our team however will always be the emcee/MC of your event so you can re assured that your day will run smoothly.
Yes if the occasion calls for the request. This is a common topic we work out with every couple/event host with prior to the day of. Generally speaking we do not mind guest requests, but as you can expect there is a time and place for certain song requests. We are professionals so we will take the approach to accept some song requests if they fit the atmosphere and vision of the couple/hosts. Or if the request is not a good fit we will professionally let the guest know the song does not fit the vibe/atmosphere.
Yes Absolutely. In fact we actually encourage you to as we want to meet you as many times as possible prior to your day. But sadly out of respect for certain event hosts or couples having their wedding there are certain events we will not ask someone to visit us at (weddings, corporate events, etc). Our 4 DJ’s still play in Bars & Clubs pretty regularly so that is where we invite most folks to.
We do not include gratuity in the final contract price. 10 – 20% is generally recommended if your DJ or vendor did a great job, but it is entirely up to you.(Bold) A review of your experience working with our team will always mean more to us than anything.
We recommend at least 6 months prior to the event. However we understand that life is not perfect and almost always have a staff member available for last minute events as well. (Click here to check our availability)
We encourage everyone to select songs that they would like to hear at their event as well as songs they do not want to hear through our mobile planning app that you will receive (click this link to see our mobile app video). The number of songs you request is completely up to you. However, we recommend having around 10 to 15 songs requested (different genres and artists are helpful).
In the end if you end up requesting a lot of music please keep in mind that with time restraints or the atmosphere of an event we may not be able to play all of your requests and your DJ being a professional and reading the room/guests will select music they feel is best as well. (Use your final planning meeting to review this with your DJ).
